There are many misconceptions about the Linux operating system, let's take a look at a few of them.
Linux is hard to use
Actually, Linux is no more difficult to use than Windows or Mac operating systems. There are plenty of resources to help you along the way, as well as a great Linux community. I myself would be more than happy to help you in any way I can, or to direct to a resource that may provide the answer you are looking for.
I can't run the programs I need
The fact is, there are many more programs available for Linux than most people are aware of. On the off chance that there is a truly Windows only program you need, there is still a chance you can run it on Linux using an implementation of Windows on unix called Wine.
You need to know lots of commands
Well, for me, I enjoy dropping into a terminal and throwing some commands at my Linux rig, but it's not always necessary. Many of the Linux distributions have plenty of menus and ways for you to navigate without using the command line, although I highly recommend you try to learn the commands once you get comfortable with Linux.
